Our Partners

Keith Slusser is the managing partner of F.E.W. CPAs . He specializes in auditing and taxation. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Missouri. Keith graduated Cum Laude in 1999 and has been with the firm since 2001. Keith is a licensed CPA in the States of Missouri and Illinois and has managed hundreds of audits, including for-profit, non-profit and governmental entities. Keith is a member of the Missouri CPA Society Governmental Auditing Committee and manages the firm's largest governmental audit clients. He previously served as the Treasurer for the City of Brentwood and the Board of Education for Brentwood School District.  Keith has a wife (Stacy) and two children (Owen and Riley) at home.  In his spare time, Keith enjoys spending time with his family on the lake, at the pool, or just in the backyard.  Keith also enjoys playing golf, fishing and watching premier league soccer.

Curtis Stoll is a partner and manager of our Columbia office. Curtis is a licensed CPA in the State of Illinois and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He has been working in public accounting since 2002, except for the three years he spent as the controller of Six Flags in Eureka, Missouri. Curtis specializes in business and individual taxation and governmental auditing.  Curtis grew up in Red Bud, Illinois, and currently resides in Des Peres, Missouri with his wife and two children.  Curtis is a huge Cardinal baseball fan and, though his wife is a huge Yankees fan, the whole family enjoys spending a lot of time at Busch Stadium during baseball season.  Curtis also enjoys hiking around the St. Louis region and loves taking trips to the western United States to hike in the mountains. 

James Lunk is a partner working out of our Columbia office.  James has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois and completed graduate school at the University of Missouri at St. Louis. He has been in public accounting since 2011, working with a wide variety of small businesses, non-profit organizations, and local governments.  James prepares hundreds of tax returns per year and performs dozens of non-profit and governmental audits.  James is a resident of Columbia, Illinois.  In his spare time, he enjoys running, playing basketball, and spending time with his wife and three children.

Jennifer Heim is an audit partner working out of our St Louis Office. She specializes in non-profit and single audits. Jennifer graduated from the University of Missouri - St Louis with a Bachelor of Science in accounting (2014) and a Master of Accountancy (2015). She began her public accounting career in 2013 and became a licensed CPA in the State of Missouri in 2015. Jennifer’s primary focus is non-profit auditing and accounting as well as single audit compliance auditing. In addition to performing dozens of audits each year, she also provides bookkeeping, tax, and consulting services to various for-profit, not-for-profit, and governmental entities. Jennifer is currently a member of the Missouri Society of CPAs. When not at work, she and her husband (Doug) are avid film fans and she enjoys spending time with their two children (Layne and Derek).

We are pleased to introduce Leslie Gregory, a partner in our St. Louis office. Leslie holds both a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Accountancy from Columbia College – Columbia. A licensed CPA in the State of Missouri, Leslie has been serving clients in public accounting since 2013. Leslie brings a wealth of experience, with a primary focus on auditing not-for-profit and governmental entities. In addition to her audit expertise, she offers a range of other accounting services, including bookkeeping, payroll, tax, and consulting. Leslie is an active member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of CPAs.Outside of work, Leslie enjoys cheering on the Blues and Battlehawks, and she values quality time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.

Our Staff

In addition to the partners, F.E.W. CPAs employs twelve professionals and two support staff members. Each member of the staff is an expert in his or her area. You can expect excellence from the staff at F.E.W. CPAs in areas such as auditing, bookkeeping, payroll processing, individual and corporate tax preparation, and accounting system consulting.

Our History

The firm was founded in 1976 by the late Donald L. Fick. Over the years, Mr. Fick became known in the St. Louis area for his expertise in the areas of non-profit accounting and auditing, as well as individual taxation.  He retired in 2001.  In 1985, Lee Eggemeyer joined the firm and then founded the Columbia, IL office in 1986. Lee grew the Columbia office for many years and was the managing partner until he sold his interest in the firm in 2011.  In 1999, Shawn Williamson joined the firm as an audit manager. In 2011, Shawn became the managing partner of Fick, Eggemeyer, and Williamson CPAs with a specialty in non-profit and single auditing as well as serving as the quality control partner for the firm. In 2022, Shawn stepped down from managing partner and Keith took on the role supported by his fellow partners Curtis, James, Jennifer, and Leslie.

F.E.W. CPAs is now a multi-state, multi-office accounting firm with a staff of 19 full-time professionals and well over 3,000 clients.

NON-PROFIT & GOVERNMENTAL AUDITING
 F.E.W. CPAs specializes in providing professional services to non-profit organizations and governmental entities. For over 40 years the firm has been auditing a myriad of organizations. Currently, the firm audits over 200 entities annually, including organizations like Campbell House, Endangered Wolf Center, Harvester Christian Church, the City of Maplewood, the City of Overland, Creve Couer Fire Protection, the Lindbergh School, and the St. Charles City School District.

SMALL BUSINESS TAXATION
The firm also specializes in counseling small businesses regarding federal, state, and payroll taxes. Our partners work with our business owners to select the most advantageous ownership entities, retirement plans, and other tax-saving strategies. Furthermore, our accounting staff provides high-quality bookkeeping and payroll services to our small businesses on an ongoing basis.

INDIVIDUAL TAXATION
In addition to business-type tax returns, our firm helps over 3,000 individuals prepare their personal tax returns, Form 1040.  In conjunction with those federal returns, we prepare returns in dozens of states across the country.

BUSINESS VALUATIONS
The firm has extensive experience valuing businesses. Shawn Williamson is Accredited in Business Valuations by the AICPA. Our staff has valued medical practices, furniture stores, construction companies, barge manufacturers, funeral homes, vocational schools, and many other types of businesses with values of up to $300 million.
