Shawn Williamson is the managing partner of Fick, Eggemeyer & Williamson. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Illinois University. Shawn graduated with High Honors from both universities and was inducted into the accounting honorary Beta Alpha Psi and the graduate business honorary Beta Gamma Sigma. Shawn became a Certified Public Accountant in 1992 and is licensed in Illinois and Missouri. He has managed well over 1000 audit engagements, including non-profit organizations, governmental entities, and for-profit corporations with annual revenues of up to $3 billion. Shawn is the author of Big Success in Small Business, which is a comprehensive guide to starting and running a small business. He has also written over 50 articles for Successful Farming magazine. In his spare time, Shawn volunteers on the board of the Historic Main Street Columbia Association.
Keith Slusser is a partner specializing in auditing and taxation. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Missouri. Keith graduated Cum Laude in 1999 and has been with the firm since 2001. Mr. Slusser is a licensed CPA in the State of Missouri and has managed hundreds of audits, including for-profit, non-profit and governmental entities. Keith is a member of the Missouri CPA Society Governmental Auditing Committee and manages the firm's largest governmental audit clients. Mr. Slusser is the Treasurer for the City of Brentwood and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Adjustment for the City. Keith has a wife (Stacy) and two young children (Owen and Riley) at home. In his spare time Keith enjoys spending time with his family at a local park, at the pool, or just in the backyard. Keith also enjoys playing golf and watching Cardinals baseball.
Curtis Stoll is a partner and manager of our Columbia office. Curtis is a licensed CPA in the State of Illinois and graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He has been working in public accounting since 2002, except for the three years he spent as the controller of Six Flags in Eureka, Missouri. Curtis specializes in business and individual taxation and governmental auditing. Curtis grew up in Red Bud, Illinois and currently resides in Des Peres, Missouri with his wife and two children. Curtis is a huge Cardinal baseball fan and, though his wife is a huge Yankees fan, the whole family enjoys spending a lot of time at Busch stadium during baseball season. Curtis also enjoys hiking around the St. Louis region and loves taking trips to the western United States to hike in the mountains.
James Lunk is the newest partner in our firm. James has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois and completed graduate school at the University of Missouri at St. Louis. He has been in public accounting since 2011, working with a wide variety of small businesses and non-profit organizations. James prepares hundreds of tax returns per year and performs dozens of non-profit and governmental audits. James is a resident of Columbia, Illinois and a partner in our Columbia office. In his spare time, James enjoys running, playing basketball, and spending time with his two children.

The firm was founded in 1976 by Donald L. Fick. Over the years, Mr. Fick became known in the St. Louis area for his expertise in the areas of non-profit accounting and auditing, as well as individual taxation. He retired in 2001. In 1985, Lee Eggemeyer joined the firm and then founded the Columbia, IL office in 1986. Lee grew the Columbia office for many years and was the managing partner until he sold his interest in the firm in 2011. In 1999, Shawn Williamson joined the firm as an audit manager, and in 2001, Keith Slusser joined the firm as a tax/audit manager. Curtis Stoll joined the firm in 2008 as a tax manager, and James joined the firm in 2011 as an auditor. Fick, Eggemeyer & Williamson is now a multi-state, multi-office accounting firm with a staff of sixteen full-time professionals and over 3,000 clients.
Fick, Eggemeyer & Williamson currently provides professional tax and accounting services to approximately 3,000 individuals, 500 businesses, 100 non-profit organizations, and 60 governmental entities. While we work primarily in the St. Louis area and Southern Illinois, the firm has clients throughout the United States and is willing to provide high-quality professional service anywhere.

For over 40 years the firm has been auditing a myriad of organizations. Currently, the firm audits over 150 entities annually, including organizations like Wings of Hope, KDHX Radio, Boys and Girls Clubs, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Church on the Rock, the City of Fenton, the City of Crestwood, the Affton School District, and the Lindbergh School District.
SMALL BUSINESS TAXATION
The firm also specializes in counseling small businesses regarding federal, state and payroll taxes. Our partners work with our business owners to select the most advantageous ownership entities, retirement plans and other tax saving strategies. Furthermore, our accounting staff provides high quality bookkeeping and payroll services to our small businesses on an ongoing basis.
The firm has extensive experience valuing businesses. Our staff has valued medical practices, furniture stores, construction companies, barge manufacturers, funeral homes, vocational schools and many other types of businesses with values of up to $300 million.
