Our People
Lee Eggemeyer is the managing partner of Fick, Eggemeyer & Williamson. He is a licensed CPA and has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. He was a member of the honorary professional accounting fraternity Beta Alpha Psi. Lee obtained 9 years of experience at a fortune 500 company as a cost accountant and assistant controller and then enterred the public accounting profession in 1985. He founded the Columbia office in 1986 and has current memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois CPA Society. Lee has spoken before several groups on small business and tax related issues.
Shawn Williamson is the partner in charge of audits for Fick, Eggemeyer & Williamson. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Illinois University. Shawn graduated with High Honors from both universities and was inducted into the accounting honorary Beta Alpha Psi and the graduate business honorary Beta Gamma Sigma. Shawn became a Certified Public Accountant in 1992 and is licensed in Illinois, Missouri, and West Virginia. He has managed hundreds of audit engagements of non-profit organizations, governmental entities, and for-profit corporations with annual revenues of up to $3 billion.
Keith Slusser is a partner specializing in audits and taxation. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Missouri. Keith graduated Cum Laude in 1999 and has been with the firm since 2001. Mr. Slusser is a licensed CPA in the State of Missouri and has managed hundreds of audits, including for-profit, non-profit and governmental entities.

Our History
The firm was founded in 1976 by Donald L. Fick. Over the years, Mr. Fick gained recognition for his expertise in the areas of non-profit accounting and auditing, as well as individual taxation. In 1986, Lee Eggemeyer joined the firm and later initiated the Columbia, IL office. In 1999, Shawn Williamson joined the firm as an audit manager. In 2001, Keith Slusser joined the firm as a tax/audit manager. Now, Fick, Eggemeyer & Williamson is a multi-state, multi-office accounting firm with a staff of thirteen professionals and over 2000 clients.
Fick, Eggemeyer & Williamson currently provides professional tax and accounting services to more than 1,900 individuals and over 400 businesses. While we work primarily in the St. Louis area and Southern Illinois, the firm has clients throughout the U.S. and is willing to provide high-quality professional service anywhere.
Our firm participates in the Peer Review program prescribed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation. When the firm was examined in June 2008, the reviewers indicated that our accounting practices and procedures meet and exceed all industry standards.
NON-PROFIT & GOVERNMENTAL AUDITING
Fick, Eggemeyer & Williamson specializes in providing professional
services to non-profit organizations and governmental entities. The firm
has a long history of advising organizations in start-up, growth and maturity
phases. The firm currently serves numerous organizations including Wings
of Hope, KDHX 88.1, Church on the Rock, Monroe County Illinois, Rend Lake
Conservancy District and the Sedalia Missouri School District.
SMALL BUSINESS TAXATION
The firm also specializes in counseling small businesses regarding federal,
state and payroll taxes. Our partners work with our business owners to
select the most advantageous ownership entities, retirement plans and
other tax saving strategies. Furthermore, our accounting staff provides
high quality bookkeeping and payroll services to our small businesses
on an ongoing basis.

The firm has extensive experience valuing businesses. Our staff has valued
